Chunmee Tea

Chunmee 9366

Zhen Mei 9366 is a grade of Chinese green tea, mainly exported to regions such as North Africa, West Africa and Central Asia.   The name is derived from the word "Zhen Mei" (Zhen Mei, meaning "precious eyebrows"), which is characterized by tightly curled leaves that resemble delicate eyebrows.   The numerical suffix "9366" indicates a specific quality grade, lower than higher grades such as 9371 and 41022, but still regarded as a premium product for commercial export.

Characteristics
·Appearance: Small, curved leaves, dark green, slightly looser than higher grades of Zhen Mei, but maintaining uniformity.   May contain small amounts of stems or debris.
·Aroma: Fresh and spicy, with a hint of floral or vegetal notes, reflecting its roasting process.
·Taste: Rich, sweet, and refreshing, balancing natural bitterness with a clean, lingering aftertaste.
·Color: The tea soup is bright yellow-green, indicating minimal oxidation.

Production process
·Picking: In early spring, young tea buds are picked by hand (one bud and one leaf).
·Frying: Stir-frying tea leaves in a hot pan to stop oxidation, preserve color, and enhance flavor.
·Rolling: Artfully roll tea leaves into an eyebrow-shaped curve to keep the tea soup firm.
·Classification: Graded by size and quality, with "9366" indicating mid- to high-end.

Markets and exports
·Major destinations: Morocco, Algeria, Uzbekistan, and other African/Middle Eastern countries for traditional blends (such as mint tea) and modern health products.

Brewing tips
·Water temperature: 75–85°C (167–185°F) to avoid bitterness.
·Stew time: 2–3 minutes for a balanced brew;   re-steep 2–3 times.
·Stew time: 2–3 minutes for a balanced brew; re-steep 2–3 times.

pan-fired spring flush · nine-stage sifting · medium particle band
consistent flow low sediment neutral base

Chunmee 9366 is a commercial-grade Chinese green tea produced from spring-flush leaves processed through pan-firing, rolling, and mechanical sieving to 9366 mesh specification. This grade delivers a balanced infusion with toasted grain and dried hay notes, medium body, and a clean finish. The 9366 designation ensures consistent particle sizing suitable for high-volume tea bag production, instant tea processing, and private label blending. Moisture content is maintained below 6.5% to support extended shelf life under standard warehousing conditions.

88% uniformity 1.0-2.0 mm band ≤6.5% moisture
Chunmee 9366

Particle consistency

88% of leaf fragments measure between 1.0mm and 2.0mm, ensuring even flow through volumetric filling equipment and reducing segregation during blending.

Low sediment

Multi-stage sieving removes particles below 0.15mm, resulting in a clear amber-yellow liquor with minimal residue at the bottom of the cup.

Storage stability

Moisture content capped at 6.5% with nitrogen-flushed packaging option. Shelf life 24 months under recommended conditions of 16-22°C and relative humidity below 55%.

handling & storage notes
Recommended storage conditions
Store in original multi-layer kraft bags with aluminum liner at 16-22°C and relative humidity below 55%. Keep separated from spices, coffee, and chemical cleaning agents. Shelf life 24 months from production date.
9366 vs 9371 / 41022 series
9366 features a wider particle distribution (1.0-2.0mm) with 88% uniformity, compared to 89% in 9371 and 93-94% in 41022 series. Suitable for standard tea bag and instant tea applications where broader particle tolerance is acceptable.
Batch traceability
Each lot assigned a unique code correlating to harvest week, firing batch, and sorting line. Retain samples available for 36 months. Pesticide and heavy metal reports provided per shipment.
processing note Chunmee 9366 is optimized for 1-2 larger volume infusions (200-500ml) where extraction efficiency and clarity are prioritized. Not intended for traditional gongfu-style multiple short steeps due to its fragmented leaf structure.
